Dhar Player Data Deletion Policy
Effective date: 4 September 2026 Last updated: 5 September 2026
Dhar Player does not create an end-user account in the TV application. It uses a resettable Virtual MAC and a server-side licence/device record.
Delete data on the television
Open Settings → Privacy & legal → Delete app data. This removes Dhar Player's local language, playlist selection, legal acknowledgement, pairing state and Virtual MAC. It does not erase unrelated television or browser data.
After deletion, Dhar Player returns to the first-launch notice. A new Virtual MAC is generated only after the notice is accepted again. Deletion or reinstallation does not automatically create eligibility for a new 15-day trial; production eligibility is determined by the server-side trial record and proportionate platform-approved installation proof.
Delete server-side data
Send a request to contact@dharplayer.co.uk with the subject Dhar Player data deletion. Include only enough information to locate the record, such as the Virtual MAC, order/licence reference or purchase email. Do not include playlist passwords or full payment-card details.
We will verify the request proportionately, revoke active playlist tokens, remove the device and pairing record, and delete stored playlist URLs, credentials and related EPG cache. Operational backups expire within 30 days.
Licence, payment, trial-eligibility, fraud, dispute or legal records may be retained where required by tax, accounting, proportionate abuse prevention, security or other law. Retained data is isolated and is not used for ordinary service delivery or advertising.
